LUCARNE DOLLEY
Lucarne was born in the UK but has proudly called New Zealand home for more than 22 years. She has been living and working in Cambridge for the past eight years, where she is passionate about helping people regain confidence, return to the activities they love, and perform at their best.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from WINTEC with First Class Honours and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy through the University of Liverpool, graduating with Distinction. Lucarne has extensive experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, having worked alongside NZ Hockey, New Zealand U19 and U23 representative rowing teams, St Peter's First XV rugby, premier rugby clubs, sevens’ teams, and football teams. Most recently, she has enjoyed becoming further involved in the local sporting community by working with Leamington Rugby and Hautapu Rugby throughout the premier rugby season.
Lucarne enjoys treating a wide variety of patients, from adolescents and active families to weekend warriors, high-performance athletes, and those recovering from surgery. She has a particular passion for helping people achieve their individual goals, whatever those may be. As an avid dressage rider herself, she also has a special interest in treating equestrian athletes and understands the unique demands that riding places on the body.
Lucarne treatment approach is tailored to every individual following a thorough assessment. Combining hands-on treatment techniques, including manual therapy and dry needling, with personalised rehabilitation and exercise programmes, Lucarne aims to not only relieve pain but also address the underlying cause of the problem, helping patients achieve lasting results and reduce the risk of recurrence.
Outside the clinic, Lucarne divides her time between veterinary physiotherapy, working with both horses and dogs, and riding her own horses as she prepares for the competition season. When she's not at the stables, you'll usually find her enjoying a good coffee around Cambridge with friends.
